Tape, Film & Slide Digitising for Hamilton
Plenty of our customers come from Hamilton — we're an easy 25-minute drive down the expressway in Cambridge, and your tapes are handled by one person, start to finish.
If you're in Hamilton with a box of old VHS tapes, film reels or slides, you've probably discovered there aren't many places left that can transfer them — and the big mail-away labs mean posting your only copies to another city and hoping for the best. There's a better option just down the road.
Sound Lounge is a purpose-built digitisation studio in Cambridge, about 25 minutes from most of Hamilton — whether you're coming from Rototuna, Chartwell, Hillcrest or Glenview, it's an easy trip down the Waikato Expressway. You hand your memories to the person who actually does the work: Dane Clarke, a broadcast professional with more than 30 years in television, including four years at the BBC in London.
Everything is transferred in-house — nothing is sent away, and your originals are treated as irreplaceable. When it's done, you collect your files on USB, DVD or a free online download, along with every original tape, reel and slide.

What we digitise
Why Hamilton families choose a smaller studio
With a mail-away lab, your only copies of the wedding, the kids' first steps, or Nana's voice go into a courier bag. At Sound Lounge they stay in one pair of experienced hands, 25 minutes from your door — and you can ring that same person any time to ask how it's going.
