Sound Lounge is a professional broadcast and digitisation studio based in Leamington, Cambridge, Waikato. When you hand us your tapes, reels, or slides, one person handles everything from start to finish — no outsourcing, no faceless lab, no lost items.
Why we do this
Every family has a box in the wardrobe. Home movies on VHS, Super 8 reels from before you were born, cassette tapes of voices you miss. Analogue media was never meant to last forever — and silently, year by year, it degrades.
Sound Lounge exists to rescue those recordings before they're gone for good. We're based right here in Cambridge — not a mail-away lab in another city — so your media never has to travel far, and you always know who's handling it.
Every job is handled personally from pickup to delivery. We take the time to do it properly, and we won't rush your memories.
The studio
Our home studio in Leamington is purpose-built for broadcast-quality audio and video work. The same professional setup we use for podcast recording and livestreaming is what we bring to your digitisation jobs.
